Program Coordinator

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Program Coordinator.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Program Coordinator will plan and manage Museum programs and events including lectures, educational workshops, concerts, movie screenings and exhibit openings.

Responsibilities:

- Overseeing the detailed planning and seamless execution of all Museum programs and events

- Handling all event/program logistics including coordination of speakers, set-up, food and parking arrangements

- Coordinating with Marketing department to publicize events

- Managing timetables, budget, and pre- and post-event communications

- Taking photos at Museum events or hiring photographers and videographers as needed

- Coordinating with Museum staff, partners and vendors

- Managing RSVP’s and overseeing event check-in

- Following up with attendees after events

- Proactively handling any issues that arise on the day of event

Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and professional quality of work

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- Ability to take direction, meet deadlines, and take initiative

- Ability to interact effectively with donors, board members, volunteers and co-workers

- Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed

- Good computer skills with a strong command of software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

- Knowledge of Salesforce, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign a plus

Minimum Qualifications:                                   

Education: Bachelor's degree

Work Experience: Preferred minimum two years’ relevant experience.
