STATEMENT BY THE GOLDRICH FAMILY FOUNDATION

This week marks what would have been the 90th birthday of beloved Museum founder, Jona Goldrich z''l, long-time Los Angeles real estate developer and Jewish philanthropist. We pause to remember him with great affection and gratitude for his longstanding generosity, which his family carries forward in his memory.

The Goldrich Family Foundation, a key supporter of the Museum since its inception, is now headed by Jona Goldrich's daughters, Andrea Goldrich Cayton and Melinda Goldrich.

Both Andrea and Melinda serve in key positions on the Museum’s board of directors and are committed to their father’s vision of the Museum’s important role in Los Angeles. The Foundation is a major underwriter of the ongoing operations of the Museum, helping to support the Museum’s mission of Holocaust education and commemoration through its robust programs and community engagement.

Jona’s role in the creation of Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust has had a strong impact on his children and grandchildren. The family shows its commitment to the future of the Museum both through its actions and financial support.

The Goldrich family and the Goldrich Family Foundation strongly support the current management team at the Museum and have been in active consultation with the management team as it has implemented changes over the last few years to support the Museum’s growth and continued vitality.
