11:00 am

Our "Legacies of Survival" workshop series for descendants of Holocaust survivors teaches techniques for sharing our family histories. The series continues on March 4 with a presentation by Keren Perlmutter, Ph.D.

Kere worked for AOL as chief scientist and head of an international research and development division. She developed technology for Warner Bros. Studios, including the revolutionary “Ultra-Resolution” film restoration process. Keren is a published author of a number of technical papers, has won numerous academic awards, and has been granted 39 patents for her inventions.

More recently, she published her father’s bestselling autobiography in both English and Dutch and currently speaks in the US and in the Netherlands, where she shares her father’s life story in order to inspire her audiences to help others in need, achieve an education, and overcome difficulties in pursuit of their dreams.

Keren will present her father’s life story and provide a helpful guide for sharing a survivor’s story by describing her experiences in researching, presenting, and self-publishing her father’s best-selling autobiography, "Determined: The Story of Holocaust Survivor Avraham Perlmutter.”

Space is limited. For additional information or to RSVP, contact Katherine Semel at or (323) 651-9925.
