Share Our Stories Program Application

Share Our Stories is a unique, multisite program that utilizes resources of the Museum, as well as students' own classrooms, to create participatory experiences with Holocaust survivors and opportunities for reflective art projects for underfunded schools.

Our programming for Share Our Stories is a series of three sessions described below that usually takes place over a period of 2-5 weeks, depending on the academic calendar for the partnering school and the Museum schedule, in either the fall or spring semester.

The program is provided at no cost to participating classrooms, and includes:
1. An in-depth introductory session from Museum staff in the classroom on what to expect during this program and at the Museum for your students (optional)
2. Docent-led, customized tours of the Museum with bus transportation reimbursed by the Museum and lunch provided to all students
On the same date as the tour: A speaking event in which a Holocaust survivor shares of their experiences before, during, and after the Holocaust
3. Creative reflection workshops in the classroom, connecting personal backgrounds of students with the life stories of Holocaust survivors they met, with art supplies and instruction provided by the Museum

Share Our Stories is supported by a generous grant from the Max H. Gluck Foundation.
