Currently on exhibit at LAMOTH are eighteen pre-war Torah scrolls from Czechoslovakia that survived the Holocaust. These scrolls were rescued by the Jewish community of Prague during World War II and later sent to the Memorial Scrolls Trust in London for safekeeping.

More than 1,500 scrolls rescued from Czechoslovakia were sent to congregations all over the world. The eighteen scrolls on temporary exhibit at LAMOTH are now entrusted to congregations in the Los Angeles area.

The exhibit is accompanied by audio narrations recorded by members of each congregation about their scroll's history and role in their community.
