What Teachers Are Saying About the Museum

"We are so grateful to your staff and volunteers. Our students enjoyed their visit and came away with a better understanding of past events and I believe will be better prepared for life because of it. You were all awesome, thank you!” – Mr. Terry Lin

We are currently accepting reservations for virtual school tours. Please note that we experience our highest demand for group tours between January and May, so please schedule your group's tour as soon as possible.

Programs are aligned with the California Content Standards for English-Language Arts and History-Social Science.

The Museum offers student tours for students in 5th grade and older. Our staff tailors each tour to meet the educational needs of your students.

As mandated by the Museum's founding survivors, all Museum tours are FREE. To continue providing free Holocaust education programming, we appreciate donations to the Museum.

Tours are docent-led and inquiry-based. Docents engage students through closely examining the Museum’s exhibition and Holocaust era artifacts.

Please contact Visitor Services to discuss the content of your tour at reservations@lamoth.org or 323-651-3704.

School tours include:

  • An introduction to Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust’s history
  • An introduction to the Holocaust and its main events
  • A tour of the Museum collection
  • A Holocaust survivor talk
  • Q&A with a Holocaust survivor
