Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust was awarded a generous grant by the Leichtag Foundation to launch the Highways to History pilot program. This program is designed to support teachers and students in San Diego County in gaining access to the educational resources of the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust through a teacher training and field trips.    

Through this pilot project, the Museum will provide ten San Diego County teachers with a one-day, on-site training this fall and substitute teachers to cover for them in the classroom.  The training will take place on Wednesday October 17th, 2012. Following the training, the teachers will bring their classes to the Museum for tours and discussions with Holocaust survivors. The costs of transportation and substitute teachers are covered.
