Director of Archive, Library and Collections, Dr. Vladimir Melamed
Dr. Melamed earned his doctoral degree in Modern European History from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He authored three books and several tens of essays and articles on the interwar European History and the History of the Holocaust. He worked as a senior reseacher and historical content analyst with Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation in Los Angeles. In 2006, he held a Post-Doctoral Scholar Research Fellowship at Harvard Unversity. Dr. Melamed also serves as director of Archive, Library and Collection of the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust. He administers, manages and curates archival and museum collections. Dr Melamed also renders research and scholarly support for the Museum in as a Historian. Additionally, he teaches and supervises of the internship program.
