Dr. Vladimir Melamed

 

Dr. Melamed earned his doctoral degree in Modern European History from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He has authored three books and several essays and articles on the interwar years and the Holocaust. He has worked as a senior researcher and a historical content analyst with Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation in Los Angeles. In 2006, he held a Post-Doctoral Scholar Research Fellowship at Harvard University. Dr. Melamed serves as Director of Archive, Library and Collection of the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust. He administers, manages and curates archival and museum collections. Dr. Melamed also provides research and scholarly support for the Museum as a historian. Additionally, he teaches and supervises the Museum’s archival internship program.
